Progress at Shirlington House

Arlington, Va. ( July 2025) Snell Properties is moving forward with plans to bring 73 new homes to the Shirlington House property. The infill project will feature fourteen three-bedroom stacked townhouse units along the parking structure and fifty-nine apartments in a new building on the southeast corner of the site.

The plan has been carefully reviewed through Arlington County’s public process. After an online engagement session in February, a working session with the site plan review committee, and consideration by the county’s transportation, housing, and planning commissions, the project received unanimous approval from the Arlington County Board on July 22.

This milestone clears the way for the next phase of planning and design, bringing more housing options to the vibrant Shirlington community while enhancing the existing property.
