Snell Files Formal Concept Plan for Shirlington House

Arlington, Virginia (October 23, 2023) – Snell Properties filed a formal Concept Plan with the Arlington County Planning Division for infill development on the site of its Shirlington House apartment property located at 4201 S. 31^st St in Arlington, Virginia.

The proposed development plan includes the addition of 14 three-bedroom duplex/two-over-two units in seven individual buildings that line the existing above-grade parking structure and a six-story residential building on the east end of the property with 64 new apartment homes.

“This infill project offers an opportunity enhance the value of Shirlington House, improve the South 31^st Street streetscape, and add new housing stock to the Shirlington neighborhood,” said Michael Eastwood, executive vice president of Snell Properties.

Snell has been a long-term partner in Shirlington House apartments and its sole owner since 2006. The property underwent a major renovation over the course of two years in 2018 and 2019. Future property upgrades include improved landscaping and a new clubhouse.
